Linda’s Parent Workshops In Los Angeles, CA

“Transitioning to High School” at Marina Middle School, Tuesday morns, Feb. 8, 15, & 22, 8:30 to 11:30am

“Parenting the Teenager” at Marina Middle School, Tues. March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29,  Apr 5th, 8:30 to 11:30am

“Parenting the Teenager” at University High School, Every Other Saturday, starting Feb.5, 8:30 to 11:30am. Dates are: Feb.5,19, March 5, 19, April 2, 16th

“Family Math” at University High School, Every Other Saturday, starting April 30th, then May 14, May 28, June 11th,  8:30 to 11:30am.

“Family Math” at Grandview Elementary School, Friday morns, Jan. 21 to Feb. 25th, 8:30am to 10:30am.

“Transitioning to Middle School” at Grandview Elementary School, Friday morns, May, 6, 13, 20, 27th, 8:30 to 10:45am.

“Transitioning to Elementary School” at the following 4 sites in February and March in the South Gate area:     Kedren Head Start, Weds., Feb. 2, 16, 23, & March 2, 8:30-10:45am Locke Early Education Center, Wed. afternoon, Feb. 2, 9, 16, & 23,         Russell Elementary School, 1263 E. Firestone, Thurs. morns, Feb. 17, 24, & March 3, 8:30-11:30am,   Compton Ave. Elementary School, Wed. morns, March 9, 16, & 23, 8:30-11:30am.

“Anger Management” at Hamilton High School, Tuesday evening, February 15th, 6:30-8:30pm.

About Linda Marten, MSW

Linda Marten is a California Credentialed Parent Educator since 1998, a former LAUSD parent educator & teacher advisor for 14 years, and a Member of the California Teachers Association (CTA) . She holds a Masters degree in Social Work from University of Washington and has extensive experience teaching and training parents and teachers. Linda leads interactive, informative workshops for parents, youth, and teachers from diverse socio-economic, racial and cultural backgrounds focusing on numerous issues related to parenting as well as helping youth who want to stop being bullied. Ms. Marten is a "bully expert" and has had great success teaching youth the "Bullies to Buddies" method developed by Izzy Kalman, school psychologist. Linda provides private sessions by appointment. She is also the mother of two children.
